Organic SEO Wiki
Kudos to Michele for pointing out the Organic SEO Wiki – the “organic” refers to the manual type of page optimisation, as opposed to automatic submittal and page alteration. Everything on the site can be implemented by one person, rather than having to hire a firm and pay big bucks for them to do the…

Firefox 1.0.5 released
Firefox has been updated to 1.0.5 – the release notes are available here – they are not very comprehensive and basically simply say: Here’s what’s new in Firefox 1.0.5: Several security fixes. Improvements to stability. I hope this version is more stable than 1.0.4 – I found 1.0.4 to be a memory and processor hog…

Desktop Manager allows you to have any number of named virtual ‘screens’ (up to available memory) to arrange your programs on, Sticky window support (allowing you to have one window on all…

Firefox is less secure than Internet Explorer?
Fred Langa has written one of the most misleading and ill-informed articles I have read on the web in quite some time. In this misleading and ill-informed article, Fred posits that changing to Firefox–or Mozilla, or any similar software–because “it’s more secure” is a dangerous misconception; and demonstrably false Incredibly, Fred is trying to tell…

Red Hat eschews Open Source software
Matt has posted a piece on his site noting that Red Hat’s blogs are run out of Movable Type – a closed source blog software application! This is made all the more ironic when you read on Red Hat’s Open Source Now site that Red Hat is a challenger of monopolies, defender of public domain,…
