I see on the Google blog that Vint Cerf has started working for Google.
If you don’t know who Vint Cerf is – you can see the Wikipedia entry on him here – but the abbreviated version is he co-designed TCP/IP while working at the United States Department of Defense’s Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and he is the author of several RFC’s.
He is commonly called the “Father of the Internet” – fitting then that his new title at Google is Chief Internet Evangelist!
I see Damien has blogged about this as well.
In a some-what related event, Mike Pinkerton (the lead Camino developer) has accepted a position at Google. More info: http://weblogs.mozillazine.org/pinkerton/archives/008843.html
