Robert Scoble coming to Cork

Robert Scoble is coming to address the IT@Cork Annual Conference on November 30th this year.

More details of the event will be released closer to the time.

In the meantime, when I asked Robert if he’d be willing to attend a bloggers dinner after the Annual Conference he said:

Of course! I’m always up for a bloggers dinner!

So, as the IT@Cork Annual conference will be in the Rochestown Park Hotel, I propose that the bloggers dinner be there as well, on the evening of the 30th of November at 8pm say.

How does that sound to people?

  1. Sounds good to me, I should be able to rope in at least one more interested party.

  2. Cool – table for four then (Robert, Yourself, your friend and myself)?

    😉

  3. For four?
You’re the only three IT guys in all of Cork City? As a long time Scoble basher I might free up my schedule. 😉

  4. Ah no Mark – Piaras isn’t from Cork at all (and he’s in PR, not IT).

No, it isn’t that there are only a couple of IT guys in Cork – it is that no-one reads this blog except my mother and myself (and my mother tells me she’s busy on the 30th – something about a hair appointment she can’t get out of!).

    🙂

  5. Man, if I read this blog I’d definitely say I’d go. *sigh* If only.

  6. LOL

  7. […] By the way, for anyone reading the article, Bob Lutz’ blog is at http://fastlane.gmblogs.com not at http://www.fastlane.gmblogs.com as it says in the article. Also, the article refers to Robert Scoble (Microsoft’s chief blogger) and as previously noted, Robert has very graciously accepted an invitation I extended to him to speak at the IT@Cork Annual Conference on November 30th this year – should be very intereseting. 8. The jackeens are over in Scoble’s comment section complaining about their commute.

It must be awful for them to go beyond the final stop of a Luas line. 😉

  9. Yerrah (sp?),

it was only the one and we soon put a stop to his insane ravings!

  10. The IT@Cork Annual Conference for November 2005 should get at least a placeholder that describes to unfortunate Dubs how to get to Heuston and board Citygold services. Consider it a public service message for the less traveled.

  11. LOL,

    Excellent Bernie,

    Tom

  12. Ink me in too Tom.
