I’m heading to Dublin on this Saturday afternoon (March 3rd) for the Irish Blog Awards.
The event starts at 6pm for sponsors and nominees but there is no food being served so I’m going to grab a bite to eat before heading to the Alexander for 6pm.
Does anyone want to meetup for a quick bite to eat around 4:30 or 5pm on Saturday afternoon? And if so, where is good near the Alexander?
UPDATE: Based on comments from Brian and Ed, I think barfood in the Alexander at 5pm it is.
Have you every tried the fine L’Abrakebabra French Bistros? They’re awesome.
The wife and I are going to be there, and were wondering about food, this would be a chance to meet others.

The Alexander is down past Government Buildings and also not too far from Grafton St, so you’re fairly spoiled for choice – loads of restaurants on Baggot st, for example, or you could try Cafe Bar Deli in Bewley’s on Grafton st, which does decent food at decent prices – pizza, big hearty salads, pasta. That sort of thing. Might be a good option to suit all budgets. http://cafebardeli.ie/
Otherwise, the Gotham Cafe (south anne st, off Grafton St) is sort of similar foodwise, but oh so yum, plus it’d be a bit more expensive.
Me and Ursula are heading up on Saturday – Depending on how much time we have we’ll probably drop in to Yamamoori on George’s street beforehand or might try somewhere closer to the hotel.

Im going to stay real close and repeat last years food order.
