Thanks to everyone who enquired after Enrique’s health (he was hospitalised last Wednesday week, the same day we buried my mother).
He had borderline bronchial pneumonia and the day after we got him home from the hospital he developed the Winter Vomiting Bug – presumably having been infected in the hospital. He’s in good company though, I see Shel Israel got this recently too!
The vomiting and diarrhea has cleared up. He is still quite chesty and on a nebuliser (which he hates) but he was well enough this morning to start back in the creche again.
It was hard leaving him there but when I rang the creche at lunchtime, they said he’s doing fine.
Here’s a photo I took of him yesterday and despite my questionable photographic skills, you can see he’s looking great.
He looks awfully happy to be at home! The first words out of Jacinta when she saw your picture was, “Oh! isn’t he adorable!”

I’m glad to see that Enrique is better – As for your photographic skills, I wouldn’t worry too much, I love watching pictures and some of the best ones i came across were on your flickr widget featuring Tomas or Enrique – and the camera does not do it alone!!
Enrique is a handsome little devil. It’s a good thing that he takes after his mom. If he had the affliction I was cursed with, the good news is a week later, I’m absolutely fine. There is no long term negative impact from the curse. The weight also came back for the most part. I lost seven and regained five. Lousey diet if you ask me.
